Happy Memorial Day 2013

While visiting Green-Wood Cemetery, on the Brooklyn Neighborhood Tour, we came across these 2 gravestones. They were brothers, William S. and Clifton Kennedy Prentiss, who fought for opposite ends of the war, one North and one South.  The graves were actually unreadable, and after it was researched, found out they were brothers buried side by side for more than a century. Please click HERE, on Green-Wood's website, to read this amazing story.

On this Memorial Day, we honor those who have passed away, family members, friends, and those who died for our country. May we just take a moment to think of them today, and what a profound effect they have made to our lives.
