When I talk about being in the city and trying new places, Minamoto Kitchoan is one of those places. Located on 5th Avenue and 49th Street, this Japanese bakery is the ultimate in unique desserts. Their locations in addition to New York City are: Tokyo, San Francisco, London, Singapore and Shanghai. The sales clerks are very friendly, and didn't make me feel dumb not knowing what I was looking at in the shop. The flavor and texture of these little gems is out-of-the-ordinary.
