Noble Savage Vintage Guest Post

A Brief History of Noble Savage Vintage:   I had been a fashion designer for about 15 years and was looking for a change of career.  Attending vintage parties, such as Dances of Vice  resurrected  my passion for vintage fashion which began when I was a small child, playing with my Great Grandmothers costume jewelry, continued with integrating my mothers clothing from the 1950s and 1960s into my wardrobe as a teen and continued with the Vintage and thrift shops in college.   I decided to start Noble Savage Vintage in 2010 out of my Brooklyn, New York home.  I set up a shop on Etsy and on Ruby Lane and in February of 2011 I did my first Manhattan Vintage Clothing show.  I believe it was at my second show in April where I first met Rosemary and was introduced to NYC, Style & a Little Cannoli.  Thank you Rosemary for inviting me do do a guest spot on your wonderful Blog.

I particularly have a passion for historical fashion.  In my own wardrobe of love mixing vintage and antique with modern and chic.  Noble Savage Vintage carries an eclectic mix of day and evening wear from the 1880's through the 1980's.

No outfit is complete without the right accessory. We also carry jewelry and hats and have a rather large collection of Vintage and antique handbags.

Don't forget to stop by our men's section for hats, blazers, suits, and overcoats, as well as the odd accessory. Men look smashing in vintage too

I have also been working on the Noble Savage Vintage Website, where you will always find my newest additions as well as current events and archives.

Make sure you check out Fab.com on the week of December 3rd for a very eclectic mix of his and hers vintage at discounted prices.

Vintage items are just so hot right now. With television shows such as Mad Men, Downton Abbey, Boardwalk Empire, The Mid Wife we have come to appreciate the fashions of bye-gone era's. Heather's shop is so wonderful and she seems to always be able to find the most unique items. Thank you Heather for this great post and some lovely photos of vintage clothes and accessories!!
