My Favorite Upper East Side Building

The Upper East Side of NYC is a neighborhood in the borough of Manhattan, between Central Park & the East River. The Upper East Side lies within an area bounded by 59th St, 96th St, Central Park and the East River.
Once known as the 'Silk Stocking District', it has more recently retained its position as the most affluent area of New York City, and today has some of the most expensive real estate in the world. The architecture is just amazing and I love walking around the side streets just to see what I find. This has become my favorite building near the Metropolitan Museum Historic District:
the first time I saw this building I was so delighted

gorgeous marble statues at the doorway

just like at the Met Museum !!

the building itself is just so detailed and gorgeous

right up to the tippy top .....so lovely

I could so see living in one of these apartments looking out these gorgeous windows

I think one morning I will do a breakfast at my favorite upper side building

grab a coffee, scone and enjoy the view.....Audrey Hepburn had a great idea !!
There is a great organization called the Friends of the Upper East Side which was founded in 1982 and is an independent, not-for-profit membership organization dedicated to preserving the architectural legacy, livability, and sense of place of the Upper East Side
