Are Coffee Cups Art ??

I honestly don't know what started my obsession with photographing coffee or tea cups but I have it. I have it BIG time. They just photograph so well and all have a different look.

Hot chocolate....with foam...without foam...iced...I loove them all...Let's take a peek shall we ...................
What a great cup and saucer and they don't match but it works!! This was at a Chocolate Tea I attended in my hometown tea house.........
This is one of my faves at Cafe Sabarsky ....you are transported into a wonderful elegant Viennese cafe in the Upper East Side. This is how they serve coffee and it was the best I ever had! If you are in the city going to the Metropolitan Museum, this is a great place for lunch.
Elegant isn't even fitting enough....it is in a old townhouse that someone actually lived in many years ago. The location is 1048 5th Avenue at East 86th street. The Guggenheim Museum is also close by at well. Okay back to cups ......
An actual art display of a bunch of coffee cups thrown together in a giant glass at the 2009 Philadelphia Flower Show....I had to take a photo now didn't I ? Does that answer my question?
Now this is iced coffee at Demel in the Plaza in New York City.......I am just in awe of these Viennese coffee/pastry shops....I must travel there one of these days....this was the best iced coffee I ever had !!
A beautiful latte at Mariebelle chocolates in Soho....they also have one on Madison Avenue but I like the Soho location better....located on Broome Street if you are in the area ......
Mariebelle also has the best hot chocolate....of course as it is a chocolate shop......
Le Pain Quotidien in Soho - I felt if I got my bathing suit on I could jump in this cappuccino !! It was soo good , the almond croissant wasn't half bad either.......
Last but not least, a latte at Charbonnel et Walker in Saks Fifth Avenue.....chocolate shop and shoe floor together....my kind of store.....and before you ask me, yes ..they have ...

Chocolate Shoes !!!

So what do you think? Are Coffee (tea) Cups art ? I think in their own little way they make us smile and remind us of something wonderful. Hope that I have made you smile with these photos today!!!

Have a wonderful weekend !!! For those in the Northeast of the USA, Keep Warm !!!
