Saks Fifth Avenue Holiday Windows 2017

I must say, I was quite disappointed in the holiday windows this year. Bergdorf Goodman and Lord and Taylor did not impress me, they were pretty but not what I have seen in prior years. I fought the crowds while in the city to see the Saks windows, and didn't realize they were Snow White. It was a bit disappointing. They are nice, but I do expect something more from them for the holiday season.

It seems many of the windows this year were sponsored by companies which I felt altered the creativity.

Love those little guys!

I had many nightmares as a child thanks to this lady. Is she really a lady?

I personally would have not taken that apple from her. I am now even quite nervous about apples as gifts in general. :)

Thank god for the Prince Charming.

Let's hope in 2018 they get back to their magical ways!

2016 Holiday Windows Reveal Dates

The department store windows in New York City are always very cool, but during the holiday season, they became magic. It amazes me what these talented people can do in a window, and we are all so lucky to be able to enjoy them for a few months the end of the year. Here are some of the dates I was able to find for reveal of this piece of holiday magic.
Lord and Taylor unveiled its 79th annual world-renowned holiday windows to New York City on Thursday, November 10 with a grand event in partnership with Save the Children. This year, Lord & Taylor's Enchanted Forest holiday windows take customers on a whimsical winter journey. The five windows flanking Fifth Avenue have been transformed, portraying scenes of a winter wonderland filled with 34 hand-sculpted spirited holiday animals. Over 350 square feet of LED walls enhance each vignette.  The flagship's façade features more than 9,000 feet of mixed garland, foliage, twinkling lights and cheerful holiday music, completing the magical display.

Bergdorf Goodman: These are the windows EVERYONE wants and needs to see. Pure art form and worth the wait in line every year. My photo from above is the 2011 holiday windows, just magical. Their big reveal is Nov. 15 at 754 Fifth Ave. I cannot wait for this one!!

Barneys New York: Get ready! Fabulous holiday windows from Barneys come to life on Friday, Nov. 18 at the Madison Avenue location (660 Madison Ave.) and the Downtown flagship store (101 7th Ave.).  The above photo is from my all time Barneys favorite window display, celebrating 35 years of Saturday Night Live. Pure genius!
Tiffany's on 5th Avenue is always a real treat to the eye, I have not found their date of reveal yet, but they are usually early in November, and before Thanksgiving.

Macy's: On Friday, Nov. 18, Macy's Herald Square reveals its famous seasonal display -- 5:30 p.m. sharp. The photo above was from 2015 window display of Snoopy and the gang, so adorable!

Bloomingdales: On Nov. 21, stroll on by 59th Street and Lexington Avenue for flawless windows at Bloomies. The reveal begins at 5:30 p.m.

Saks Fifth Avenue:  On Nov. 21 at 7 p.m., Saks draws the curtain and shows off its ever-stunning holiday windows. This year's display, "Land of 1000 Delights," is described as "an enchanting landscape of colorful candy and festive fashion." will operate daily from 5 p.m. until 11 p.m. every 10 minutes. Get there before the display's last day on Jan. 6! The New York window unveiling of Land of 1000 Delights will be live-streamed via Saks.com for audiences around the world to enjoy. The online event, presented by Mastercard, will take place on Monday, Nov. 21 at 6:45 p.m. ET.

Christian Loubtain at Saks Fifth Avenue

I came across some wonderful Christian Loubtain windows at Saks Fifth Avenue right before the holidays and just had to share with you! They are just so fun and I must confess, I did purchase one of his lipsticks. I have the nail polish, and wasn't impressed as it chipped way to fast for something that costs $50.00. But I wanted to try the lipstick, which I find wonderful, and I love the fact that you can wear it as a necklace when the lipstick is all gone. I picked up the Belly Bloom shade from Silky Satin Lip Colour which I do like very much. Hope you enjoy these windows !!

I loved this sneaker, if money was no object!

This was a skirt, right next to the Christian Loubtain cosmetic counter, and I thought it was so lovely. I didn't get the name of the maker, so sorry, but did have to share the beauty with you!

Saks Shopping and The Shoe Floor

I cannot believe how fast these days are going! Christmas is on it's way! When I was in the city in November, I visited the Saks Fifth Avenue shoe floor for some browsing! If you have never checked out this floor, and you love shoes, it is a must. It is fun to just look at the designs and enjoy their amazing beauty!

These Fendi bags were just so adorable!
Fun Fendi sweater on the shoe floor

I love anything metallic and these bags just called me over to them!
Fun looking shoes but since I can't do heels, totally out of the question for me!

Loved the colors here, so so fun !

I had to get the name of these because they were so unique with the angel wings!
I have always wanted a face on my heel, haven't you?

I felt we were in the need of some fashion on this blog, so there you have it. I tried to show some of the more unique items you can find at the shoe floor in Saks Fifth Avenue. Walking through this floor is always a really fun time!
