Margaret Braun Cakes at the 2011 Macy's Flower Show

I am a huge fan of the Bravo show Top Chef Just Desserts.....they recently had a show with Margaret Braun as a judge which I would think would be very intimating. Her cakes appeared at the 2011 Macy's Flower Show for the wedding table settings. I could not believe the detail in these cakes up close.  

This one looked very regal to me and just so elegant. I can see why the shows like Cake Boss, Ace of Cakes and Staten Island Cakes have made cakes in general so popular.  

I cannot even imagine doing this scroll work but for some people it comes naturally.  

This one is gorgeous and I love the colors of pink, gold and white.  

the detail here again is just unreal....those are probably gold edible leafs...I love the little flowers  

This pink and white is really so classic and yet not too pink as sometimes they can be  

they look like pearls are covering the cake...just so lovely  

Do you have a favorite celebrity cake baker? I am always amazed by Buddy on Cake Boss as it seems so natural for him to design the cakes. I think it is becoming a more popular career choice for young people. Seems like a great way to be creative, have fun and make people really happy once they receive their cake!!
