A great view from the amazing Hudson River Park. Especially during the months when the weather is pleasant, this is a great place to visit. More than 400 of the Park's 550 acres are located in the Hudson River. I actually found this view by just walking in the West Village, it was a real amazing treat! One of the things I love about New York City is walking and finding a treasure!

Hudson River Park Part 1
We finally made it to our destination and it was worth the walk......so worth ........

ah ha ..Hudson River Park first time I have been here .......
god knows what took me so long but glad I am here
I could look at these views forever
Hudson River Park is a waterside park on the Hudson River that extends from 59th Street south to Battery Park in the New York City borough of Manhattan
It is a joint New York State and NYC collaboration and is a 550-acre (2.2 km2) park, the biggest in Manhattan after Central Park
the park offers a lot of leisure activities as well as individual and organized sports
New York City, circa 1932-1933 -- HMAS Australia (Australian Heavy Cruiser, 1928) underway in Hudson River heading north upstream. West shoreline of Manhattan looking towards top of Woolworth Building in distant skyline. Note squat, square structure just off-shore (near Canal Street in Lower Manhattan) which is a ventilation structure for trans-Hudson tunnel linking NY and NJ. Despite the filename, Christopher Street is out of frame to the left of this picture
the Queen of Hearts ready to go sailing
these views are just like a postcard, don't you think?? more next post .........
I am taking a bit of a poll question, do you like the photos extra large or large (most posts are this size) as I cannot decide if I like the bigger photo.....please leave your comment .....Thank you !!!

Strolling on Christopher Street to Hudson River Park
This is a great example of going to the city many times over, yet finding something new. I saved these great shots for the real dead of winter to get us all excited about Spring! On the charity trip I ran in October of last year, we went to our favorite Italian bakery, Il Cantuccio on Christopher Street. Stroll with us ........
this place is a MUST visit ...trust me ......
I just love window boxes with flowers...something about them is so classic
really loved the doorways of this building
it feels so great to be walking in the village
is this a great door or what? love the color with the green plants in front
What is that?? how gorgeous against that very blue sky !!
it is the Church of St Veronica ....of course
did someone say "window box" ??
I could just run up those steps in my kitchen and make a latte !!
The Fat Cat - a great jazz club -
this is really like we are on a movie set.....what a great building
I hope you have sneakers on for this walk....it is a nice one but it is a bit long....so sorry ......
ah, a place for a bite to eat...to rest those feet .......
they only take c-a-s-h ? wow ...didn't think that was possible...guess we have to keep walking
just when you think it can't get any better.......here we go .....
my most favorite of all...love the whole look of this..the wonderful door, window box and gorgeous front gate...wonder if it is for sale?
finally, I think we are near our destination.........
thank goodness...one more street over and we are in Hudson River Park ......stay tuned.......
