The Lovely Candy Company Review

I was contacted by the Lovely Candy Company to check out their great new candy selections! When they arrived, I just feel in love with the packaging....how adorable are the bags? I love the design, they just look like old fashioned ads to me, rather vintage. Jackie, the inventor of this line, wanted to make a candy that was prepared with natural ingredients, as well as gluten and GMO free. I think they came up with what is a really yummy line of candies!

Available in original, cherry and strawberry, the product comes in 6 ounce bags featuring bite sized candies that combine natural flavors and ingredients with true licorice extract for a burst of flavor. The Fudgee Rolls are to die for! I brought them into my office and they couldn't get enough. They were so soft, just like fudge, and a great way to get your chocolate fix! 

The fruit chews had amazing flavor. You can tell they are using the real fruit here, and they really are not very sweet. These are also part of their gluten free line. 

Other gluten-free options in the Lovely Candy Company collection include buttery Sea Salt Caramels, rich fudge-flavored Fudgee Rolls, as well as Fruit Chews and Superfruit Chews that contain real fruit bits in apple, cherry, blackberry, cranberry, raspberry and blueberry choices.

The caramels are wonderful as well, not too hard, and melt in your mouth. I hate when caramels are so hard you are afraid of taking out a filling! I don't think anything by the Lovely Candy Company is bad, you need to find what your favorite would be. Mine would be the fudgee rolls and the caramels! 

I love the fact too that my favorite store, Target, carries the line in my hometown! 

All Lovely candies are certified gluten-free, kosher, non-GMO and contain no HFCS, soy, wheat or artificial ingredients.

Among Friends Baking Mixes Review

I was very excited to try these baking mixes from Among Friends. As many of you know, I love to bake, but sometimes you want to do something quickly. These mixes are great for a quick fresh baking treat, as well as being gluten free and having all good ingredients as well. Among Friends, LLC, is the creation of two friends, Suzie Miller and Lizann Anderson. They have traditional mixes as well as gluten free, and not only cookies but brownies, fruit crisp and cake mixes as well. The only items you will need are very few to add, my 2 cookie mixes required eggs, butter and vanilla. 

The cookies were done pretty quickly, less than 10 minutes each tray. My favorite of the 2 was the molasses ginger, which I have a recipe for you below to make with the cookies. The flavor is really very tasty, and the cookies are soft and chewy! The chocolate were good as well, but my fave was for sure the molasses ginger!

I know many people who need the gluten free items, these are a wonderful option. It is so important to have the flavor and taste in baked goods, and the Among Friends mixes have done that very well.
