The Fabulous Fat Witch Bakery

We are at the fabulous Chelsea Market, and Fat Witch Bakery. I have been buying these brownies for many years, and was thrilled to meet the witch herself being the owner of this blog. It has been so much fun for me to work with places where I have been a customer for a long time, and to tell others about great products.
When you walk in here, you cannot help but smile! Butter, chocolate, sugar, cute witch ....perfection!

This is the lemon witch which was my Mom's favorite. She said it was the best lemon brownie she ever tasted.
I would buy one of these if they were available for sale. I think they are just too adorable!
Mini brownies are the BEST. These freeze very well, they taste like fudge, so wonderful and rich.

They even sell the mix to make your own which is just so easy!

Special Fat Witch drinks which go well any time of year.
Even the ends do not go to waste here. Great for dunking in coffee, tea or milk.

Be sure to stop in our friends at Fat Witch Bakery if near Chelsea Market, you will be happy you did! They are also available online for shipping at Fat Witch Bakery.

Lunch with Fat Witch Bakery at Cull and Pistol

I think one of my most favorite parts of being a blogger is getting to meet folks whose products I have adored for years. Such is the case with Pat Helding, who I recently had the pleasure of joining for lunch on a very hot summer NYC day. Pat started Fat Witch back in 1991, and I can't even remember how long I have been enjoying these most amazing brownies. I would suggest to just about anyone who visits the city, to stop here and pick up a few.
Fat Witch is also available in Japan which I think is very cool.
The candies are also just too adorable for words! These items make a great NYC basket for your family and friends!

We had the most amazing lunch at Cull and Pistol within Chelsea Market. I am a HUGE seafood lover, meat is really not my thing, and finally tried raw oysters for the first time! They were amazing and agreed with me just fine. I make my own breaded ones, just never tried the raw but now I am hooked!
I had a most amazing lobster roll and I must say, this is the first one I have really actually enjoyed!
Pat had the wonderful soft shell crab bao buns.
Okay, back to the brownies. I wanted to let you know that some of the flavors from Japan are in the Chelsea Market shop. They are the brownie babies (which I just LOVE the size) in Matcha, Almond, Citrus and Honey.
My favorites are the honey and the matcha, but the almond is very good as well. I love the fact they are all individually wrapped so you can pop them right in your freezer, and take them out when you want a piece of sweetness! Brilliant!

Fat Witch Bakery does ship which is also brilliant as they make great gifts for any occasion! What family member or friend wouldn't be thrilled to receive these tasty treats? I love promoting things that I really enjoy myself, and want to be sure you know to check them out when in this fabulous city they call New York!!

A Stop at Chelsea Market

I was thrilled to get back to Chelsea Market last fall, it has been a while since I popped in the wonderful food heaven! Staying right across the street at the Maritime Hotel had it's advantages!

Did you know that Chelsea Market was actually the National Biscuit Company?

They have all these vintage items just as you walk in. So wonderful!

I just love that Oreo sandwich, don't you ?

Eleni's is one of my favorite stops in here, the most gorgeous cookies. A fabulous item to bring back to family and friends.

Gorgeous flowers from the florist inside the market.

Li-Lac Chocolates are out of this world, a must try if you have not yet.

Seed and Mill is one of the newer places, at least since I had visited

Everything looked so good, and I didn't have time to try, but next time will make a point to do so.

Here you will find artisanal halva, tahini, and other sesame treats. They make recipes in ways you never thought possible. It was quite a busy stand as well.

The Nutbox was a great place as well, and I took some items home as well as shared with my office. Everything went over real well, and I will be stopping here again when visiting the market.

There is nothing like fresh spices for cooking, and Spices and Tease is a perfect place for fresh ingredients.

These really looked quite amazing

Look what I found? Our friend, Cannoli looking very fresh and tasty!

Everything here looked just too darn good!

You cannot stop here without a visit to Fat Witch Bakery. If you like brownies, you must try these. They are like fudge. Out of this world and the witch is a great lady as well!
