10 Best Breakfast Spots in NYC

Breakfast is a very important meal of the day. In New York City, it is pretty much a most wonderful event. When I travel into the city for the day, and I see folks on the bus with McDonald's breakfast, I kind of cringe. Why not wait until you get to the best city in the world for some most amazing breakfast selections!

For me, when I travel, a bit part of that is trying new places and tasting new foods I cannot get at home. Try to remember when you visit NYC to experience something you have never had before. Go to a different restaurant each visit, check out a new area of the city. You will be surprised how exciting that will make your trip become!

These restaurants are some of the best for breakfast, wonderful selections you will probably not find at home. They are not in any order as that would be unfair, but they are:

1.  Norma's
2.  Rosemary's
3.  Maison Kayser
4.  Sarabeth's
5.  Sant Ambroeus
6.  Le Pain Quotidien
7.  Cafe Sabarsky
8.  Locanda Verde
9.   Balthazar
10. Clinton Street Baking

Lemon Ricotta Pancakes at Locanda Verde

A Visit to Cafe Sabarsky and The Neue Galerie

I visited Cafe Sabarsky for the zillionth time last year with a lovely friend. I was thrilled when we were able to enjoy the savory menu as well as the sweet. This place is AMAZING and you must visit at least once. A wonderful Sunday would involve brunch here, and then a trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art

This is a foodie wonderland!

The best Vienna sausage will be tasted here!!

You feel like you are in a Viennese cafe here and you do not want to leave. The only sad day Cafe Sabarsky is closed is on Tuesday. Let me know if you do visit, how much you like it. I would be thrilled to hear from you!!

Some interesting information from their website:
Neue Galerie New York was conceived by two men who enjoyed a close friendship over a period of nearly thirty years: art dealer and museum exhibition organizer Serge Sabarsky and businessman, philanthropist, and art collector Ronald S. Lauder. Sabarsky and Lauder shared a passionate commitment to Modern German and Austrian art, and dreamed of opening a museum to showcase the finest examples of this work. After Sabarsky died in 1996, Lauder carried on the vision of creating Neue Galerie New York as a tribute to his friend.

It's Fall Foodie Season

I think either you love pumpkin, or your hate it. I am one of those who love it, and always glad to see it back in season. I am still not sure where the summer went, but will be glad for the milder weather coming up. There are other flavors associated with Fall, like apples, cinnamon, and maple, which I like as well.
The apple strudel found at Cafe Sabarsky is the best you will find in NYC!
I think carrot cake goes well for the season of fall, and this selection from Donna Bell's Bake Shoppe will make you very happy!
Donna Bell's cinnamon scones are to die for!
This is Donna Bell's as well, I don't think you can purchase anything here that is bad. Just not possible.
An amazing chocolate haunted house from the great chocolate shop L.A. Burdick
I really love the Libby's pumpkin cookies this time of year, they are so nice and soft, cake-like of a cookie. You can check out their recipe HERE. I like to add chocolate chips sometimes as well.

My Mom was a big fan of Cider as well, I don't have the same love for that myself.

What is your favorite food to enjoy during the Fall season ?
