10 Best Vintage Shops in NYC

Vintage is still a hot commodity in 2017. I do not see it going away any time soon. There is just something about the style, class and elegance of items from a bygone era. I still shake my head when items from the 1980's are now considered "vintage". There are so many great shops and flea markets in New York City to purchase or just browse and enjoy vintage items. Here is my pick, in no particular order, of the top 10 best vintage shopping places in New York City. I would hope my readers who live in this great city will leave their comments with places they visit for vintage shopping.

Review JORD Wood Watch

I was really excited when JORD watches contacted me about a review of their wonderful timekeeper line. To say I have lots of watches is an understatement, I collect them, and I love good quality watches. A watch is not only something to tell you time, but a great accessory for your outfit. I have been trying to wear a watch more often, as with our smartphones, we tend to think we don't need them. I personally don't think they will ever go out of style, no matter where we are with tech gadgets!

JORD stands for earth, soil and land in Swedish. The fact that these watches are made from 100% natural wood is just amazing! Their current selections show use of bamboo, maple, sandalwood, cherry, zebrawood, koa, purple heart, ebony and rosewood! I also love the fact that the company is based in St. Louis, Missouri - an American company making high quality products.

You can tell the craftsmanship that goes into each watch once you receive it and see it in person. The design I chose was the SULLY, made of gorgeous cherry and maple wood. I liked the two-tone effect, and thought it would really stand out with any outfit I am wearing. They do send you a sizer so you can get the perfect fit, but they also send you the remainder of the links if you wish to adjust your size. Some folks prefer a bracelet style, while others like a watch firm on the wrist.

One of the fun things about this watch line is they are all very unisex. A guy or gal can wear just about any of their designs, and it is a very unique gift. Guys especially can be hard to buy for, and this type of watch would be something they would really enjoy. They look very smart on, whether you are dressed up for work, or down for the weekend, JORD fits your style. You can check out their very cool selection here.

Disclosure: I was provided the watch in above review for purpose of this post. All opinions are my own.
