September 11th

I cannot believe today is 18 years since September 11th. It is a day we must never forget, and one that should always be in our hearts. I remember working at a Bank at the time, and hearing the news over the radio. With the first plane, they thought it was an accident. When the second plane hit, they realized it was on purpose. The office was so quiet, which was not normal, and they set up a television for us to watch what was going on. So many innocent people lost their lives that day, and will remain heroes forever. 

I have yet to visit the 09/11 memorial, I think maybe next year will be the year for me. I loved the World Trade Center, and dined at the restaurant with some of the best views of the city. 

I believe the day has made this country stronger, & created so many angels looking over us from above. 

Let's keep all the families who lost loved ones in our hearts today. And everyday.

We Will Never Forget

It doesn't seem to me that the attacks on September 11th were 16 years ago. I remember the day all too well, working for a bank and watching everything unfold on small tv's around the office. It really touched my heart as I just have so much love for New York City. We had many folks in my town who had relatives who lived/worked in the city as well. Please say a prayer today for those who lost their lives in this senseless act, as well as for their family members. We will never forget this day. Everyone who was lost and affected are forever in our hearts.

We Will Never Forget

September 11, 2012

This is the Tribute in Light and is made to honor those from the events on September 11th. The new memorial is a wonderful tribute to all those who lost their lives in this terrible act of violence. I recently read that the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks are the most memorable event on television from the last 50 years  from a new study that was completed. I remember that day very well, being at work for a local bank, and watching on a small television in horror. I really do feel however this tragedy made us see how people can get together when times are tough and become stronger. I know I see that in New York City every time I visit, and I look forward to visiting the memorial honoring those who lost their lives on that day. I have yet to go back to that area, but I think the time is coming very soon.
