I am happy to show you a new fabulous book that has come out which is a NYC guide and combines the Girls television show on HBO. I started watching the show last year after hearing so much about it online and in magazines. It kind of had to grow on me. Once you start watching it, you really begin to get into the characters. Lena Dunham who writes and stars in the show, has one heck of an imagination. Let's take a look at The Unofficial Girls Guide to New York.

This is not your normal tourist guide book, which I love. It is really done in a very unique way, the above is taking you to Brooklyn.
Bushwick is not an area you will find in many NYC guidebooks. This one tells you the places were the Girls have visited on the show, and tells you some information about the area.
I love the fact that there are recipes in here. It was a pleasant surprise for me, but then again, the one author, Judy Gelman, is co-author of The Unofficial Mad Men Cookbook.
The areas visited within this book are Brooklyn, Williamsburg, Bushwick, Prospect Heights, Coney Island, Queens and of course Manhattan.
If you are a fan of the show, you need this book.
If you have visited most of NYC, and are looking for new areas to check out, you need this book.
If you like to try new recipes, you need this book.
If you like to try new shops, you need this book.
If you like to try new restaurants in NYC and it's boroughs, you need this book.
I think you get my drift! I really enjoyed this book very much, and plan to do some day trips to areas I have not yet explored as much, like Queens (except for the US Open), with the help of this cool book.
Do you watch Girls? Who is your favorite character? Mine would have to be Shoshanna, she just makes me laugh! As for the guys, my favorite would have to be Adam. He's come a long way from the beginning, when I thought he was quite a bit of a jerk. I am very much looking forward to Season 3 on January 12 !!
You can purchase a copy of the book HERE, and I do not receive any type of commission for any that you may purchase. I personally am a customer and fan of Barnes and Noble, and like to give them a shout out when possible. Thank you !!
