I cannot believe Thanksgiving is here already. The time has really flown this year, 2013 is not that far away. I always remember Thanksgiving as my Mom and Dad cooking early in the morning, me watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. My mom is a great cook, and she is quite a hard act to follow. I myself prefer baking to cooking. We usually have the traditional turkey, we make a fabulous oyster stuffing with cornbread, one year we made a peanut butter pumpkin pie (are you surprised), and no, we never had green bean casserole. Traditions are wonderful, however, the last few years we have dined out at a lovely restaurant. It makes it easier on my mom, even though we do make a small amount of turkey and that oyster stuffing to enjoy at home later in the week. This is a time to be thankful for all the good in our lives, and the people who support us on a daily basis. We have to really cherish the good people in our life. You never know how long they will be with you, and therefore, you should treat them the best way possible. You will be glad you did.
I want to wish all my readers who celebrate Thanksgiving a most wonderful day filled with yummy food, time with family and friends, football and a little nap in between.
