2012 Gingerbread Extravanza at Le Parker Meridian Hotel

For the 3rd year in a row, Le Parker Meridien is hosting a fabulous gingerbread house display to benefit the  City Harvest  campaign to help end hunger in NYC. Purchase a ticket for $1.00 at the concierge desk to vote on your favorite.

The photos below were from 2010, which were all designed for "Movies Made in New York".

the Christmas tree in the lobby was gorgeous and very big
the hotel is really quite beautiful
"West Side Story" by The Treats Truck
"The Sweet Smell of Success" by Cupcake Cafe
"Ghostbusters" by Tribeca Treats
this was really so cute !!
"King Kong" by Norma's
these cars were so detailed - just amazing !!
"Stuart Little" by Rolling Pin Productions
love, love his little red car !!
"Night at the Museum" by Soutine Baker
just loved this one and the roof is adorable!!
my pick was Stuart Little and my friend voted for Sweet Smell of Success

after voting, you can head over to the Burger Joint and have a bite to eat !!

Which one was your fave? Everyone wins in this as the money goes to such a great cause and it is such a treat to see these gingerbread "works of art" in person. Please stop by the hotel if you are in the city within the next few weeks and vote in person.

Information direct from Le Parker Meridian about this years display:

Marshmallows, Gum Drops and more! Check out the Gingerbread wonderland located in the 56th Street atrium of the lobby from December 1st – January 3rd all created by local bakeries and restaurants. This year's theme is "Landmarks Around The World"

Purchase one ticket for $1 or 8 tickets for $5 through the concierge desk to vote for your favorite. Drop it in the box to be entered for a chance to win a 5 night stay at the luxurious Parker Palm Springs.

All proceeds benefit City Harvest, the world’s first food rescue organization, dedicated to feeding the city’s hungry men, women and children. To learn more, visit www.cityharvest.org.

Thanx Roz but I do not actually live in NYC, I live a 2 hour drive in Pennsylvania and get there a few times a month for the blog. I am lucky to be so close and can't imagine moving if it is too far a drive from NYC! This is a great display for a great cause, everyone should check it out if in the city for the holidays!!
