Who would have thought 2 years ago this blog would be what it is today? I am thrilled with the amount of people who have found New York City to be a magical place like myself! I would like to thank all my followers out there, for your friendship and encouragement, it means a great deal to me. I have met so many wonderful people through this blog and it has been a fabulous journey. I thought on this anniversary, I would highlight some of the cool blog coverage from 2011. I feel the blog still has growing to do, and I look forward to bringing you all the exciting news and awesome giveaways in 2012.
The Coffee and Tea Festival in February was a great time! For anyone who loves both or either, this is a must attend event......dates this year will be Feb. 25-26, 2012
The Philadelphia Flower Show in March took us to Paris via Philadelphia! It was a really gorgeous show and this year they will be showing Hawaii as the theme. I am sure it will be something pretty amazing!!
The Reading Terminal Market across from the Philadelphia Flower Show is a must visit. Termini Brothers cannoli filling was just something I hope to do in another lifetime! What a lucky girl to have this job!!
We were also treated to see the cake from the 2011 Philadelphia Flower Show, designed by the Cake Boss himself, Buddy Valastro. The flowers were so amazing, it was hard to think they were not real.....
Macy's holds their annual flower show in April and they transform the store into a wonderful garden oasis
Macy's also had a wonderful table setting tribute to the HBO show The Borgias which was really so gorgeous
New York City cabs celebrated the royal wedding in April
Bergdorf Goodman did a tribute to Alexander McQueen for the highly successful exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It was probably one of the most crowded and crazy exhibits I saw in person but was oh so glad I did. He had quite an amazing talent.
Saks Fifth Avenue had tribute windows as well .......this dress was my favorite
The Brooklyn Flea allowed us to see these great views of the city, plus wonderful food and vintage items as well
July was a really hot month......and we had the pleasure of attending the House Beautiful Kitchen of the Year with Tyler Florence.........
August was a crazy weather month, but we still got to the US Open tennis and saw some of Rafael Nadal on the practice courts!
Bergdorf Goodman windows did not disappoint in August and I was thrilled to be able to shoot them at night without fighting the sun!
The Mount Vernon Hotel and Museum was a welcome historic piece of old New York and I hope some of you add it to your schedule when visiting New York City!
The Chanel windows in their Soho shop in October were just oozing with class
The Chocolate Fashion Show was just such a treat! I will be showing more of the show itself in 2012 and highlighting some of the wonderful vendors at the show.
I again would like to thank all of you for reading this blog. Please feel free to leave comments, they are always so welcomed !! I am always available to answer any New York City questions you have as well, feel free to email me via my profile. If there is a place in the city you would like me to report on, let me know and I will see what I can do to check it out for you and our readers. These 2 years have been a real pleasure and I look forward to the year ahead.
