Walking along Grove Street in the village, I came across this wonderful cottage. Now I see in one of my New York Magazines it is for sale! I remembered it right away from the photo and cannot imagine being able to live here. Cost is $3.9 million on the Corcoran Group Website, actually down from the cost in my magazine of $4.25 million!
It was originally built in 1842 and has 6 rooms in this wonderful courtyard
You can view the floor plan and more photos on the Corcoran Group website HERE and also a wonderful article from Architectural Digest September 2003 fabulous photos and information HERE. This just gives you an idea of what it would cost to live in a amazing place like this in the West Village.

Wow, that is one beautiful cottage :)
I have seen this cottage on one of the walking tours that I have taken. Simply beautiful. I enjoyed the Architectural Digest article. Wish I could buy this!
how neat you saw this in person, Kat! it is just an adorable little place...maybe we could all pitch in and buy it and take turns using it? I like that idea!!
