I would like to wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving today! It seems the time has flown so fast as I cannot believe it is here already. I have very fond memories of family gathering during this holiday, many whom now are no longer with us. The smell of the turkey cooking in our house always gave a warm feeling inside. My mom's pumpkin pie could never compare to bought. The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade was on the television. The holidays can be hard when loved ones are no longer with us, but it is up to you to make new, lasting memories to cherish with the old.
This year marks the 85th anniversary of the fabulous Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Macy's actually has become very high-tech this year and has an app for iphone/android phones by MyCityWay. It provides the parade route, traffic cameras and much more. There is also a tourists guide to NYC giving lots of helpful info should you be lucky enough to be in the city during the parade.
