Another exhibit I was able to view at The Rubin Museum of Art was Nepalese Seasons: Rain and Ritual which was pretty amazing. I really love these smaller museums, even though The Met is my most favorite.

Featuring almost fifty objects from the Rubin Museum’s premiere collection of Nepalese art and select loans, Nepalese Seasons: Rain and Ritual illustrates the enduring manifestation of rituals, agrarian festivals, and the natural environment in the art of Nepal’s Kathmandu Valley. This is the first exhibition connecting well-known deities represented in Nepalese art to rituals and festivals surrounding the rainy season, or monsoon, and highlighting the importance of the seasons to the culture and everyday life of Nepalese people. Through this lens, the exhibition will offer visitors a new understanding of the region and its art, which is already renowned for its high quality and aesthetic appeal.
As life in Nepal faces ongoing threats from natural disasters and climatic changes, Nepalese Seasons poignantly illustrates how the country’s dependence on monsoon rain continues to play an important role in its agriculture, spirituality, social culture, and art.
I loved this piece. They are all so lovely, and when you see how old they are, you are amazed the wonderful condition they are kept. Fantastic!

Café Serai is wonderful for a light bite, and I just loved my rooibos tea
I am a huge fan of Indian food, and the spices they use are very healthy for you. I first tried a Bao Bun here last year, with chicken, and was totally impressed. They didn't offer the chicken this time, but a Pork Belly Bao Bun. I was up for the challenge.
It looked pretty good even though I will say I do not eat much pork belly
Amazing! Wonderful flavor and I just LOVE the bao bun! You must try one if you never have, it is a fabulous experience!
This was the perfect little bite I needed for lunch.
As I was walking up to midtown, I came across this cute little cafe. So darn adorable!
