Downton Abbey Jewelry Giveaway with Parisienne Girl Designs!!

First I must say, Merry Christmas Eve to everyone! I am thrilled to be bringing you this fabulous giveaway with Parisienne Girl Designs who sells on Etsy. 

If you do not watch the program, Downton Abbey, you are missing out on quite a piece of extraordinary television. I am so obsessed with everything from the 1920's and it seems so is the rest of the world. Downton Abbey is a wonder of evening drama, costumes to die for, scenery that takes your breath away. It continues to be a huge draw for PBS and ITV in the United Kingdom, as well as earning Golden Globe and Emmy Nominations. 

Here is a brief background:

The series is set in the fictional Downton Abbey, a Yorkshire country house, the seat of the Earl and Countess of Grantham, and follows the lives of the aristocratic Crawley family and their servants during the reign of King George V. The first series spanned the two years before the Great War beginning with news of the sinking of the Titanic in 1912, which set the story in motion. The second series covered the years 1916 to 1919, and the 2011 Christmas Special covered the 1919 Christmas period, ending in early 1920.

Season 3 has completed in the United Kingdom but will premiere in the USA on January 6th. I had the pleasure of finding a wonderful vintage jewelry maker on Etsy, Lori Meyer, at Parisienne Girl Designs. I was searching for vintage pieces as just cannot seem to get enough of them and Etsy is a great place to shop. Her items are really so gorgeous and timeless as well.

Owner, Lori Meyer, began her love affair with jewelry as a young girl. Lori spent hours with her great-grandmother, marveling at her jewelry collection and learning about the art of blending sparkly costume pieces with classic fine jewelry. Parisienne Girl Designs was started five years ago to create modern, elegant jewelry using upcycled vintage costume jewels. Lori's pieces capture a timeless elegance and thoughtfully pay tribute to the stories of each treasured vintage jewel.

Lori's stones are purchased from estate sales and suppliers, and then she secures them and creates the jewelry mostly in brass. They really look like something Lady Mary would wear in Downton Abbey!
