Cake Boss Cafe at the Discovery Times Square

When I was in the city in August for the US Open tennis tournament, I had the chance to finally check out the Cake Boss Cafe at the Discovery Times Square.
I was really liking the elevator design...........
You cannot get lost finding the place as plenty of signs.....and I love signs with cannoli's on them!!
The space is small but they have quite a few items and an area for seating as well
Decor is very simple, I love the photos on the walls.........
the photo of Buddy covered in flour is one of my favorites........a really great concept
If this one could fit in my camera bag, it would have been going home with me......okay onto the desserts.....
these looked quite good, but small, for $10.00 each ..........
the lobster tails were a good size and price of $4.00 was fair I thought
this cake was gorgeous but again for $35.00 I think a bit on the very pricey side.........
Mousse layer cake would probably be very tasty .......
Another style of Fondant Cake ......the pieces in the back look very good, that fudge middle would probably be very over-the-top but again, I think a bit high of a price tag for such a small cake
cuppies were there of course, looking very pretty
For $22.00, you can take Buddy home with you !! These were very cute!!
the main attraction....the cannoli.....I have to say the lady behind the counter was very nice, took them out for me to photograph. I told her I was doing a write up for my blog and she had no problem with me taking the photos, thought I would have had more of a problem here.
They were pretty wonderful. Shell was crisp, filling was thick with chocolate chips in and the way a cannoli should be. Would I recommend the place? Sure. It is expensive? Sure. But it is New York City and The Cake Boss so I can understand. I am not sure how many of those little cakes people will buy but I would buy a piece to try with a cup of coffee. I think it will do very well here and maybe if so, Buddy will look into something a little bigger in the city in it's own storefront.

Danielle, I didn't see the price of the cuppies but I think they were about $4 from what I could read in my photos.

Soho Accessories, the bakery in NJ is so busy and long lines, I would prefer to go here although not as much selection.
