Elizabeth Taylor Auction at Christie's

Ron Galella/WireImage

Bulgari Diamond-and-Emerald Necklace, 1962

Taken at a premiere in Paris in 1968

I had been waiting to hear information from Christie’s on the auction of Elizabeth Taylor’s wonderful jewelry collection. Today they announced her collection of jewelry, art, and memorabilia will go on tour for 3 months before being auctioned in December 2011 in New York City!

The tour will begin in September and a few of the great stops will be Paris, London, Moscow, and Los Angeles …..I would run to this exhibit if you could as should be amazing! I have attended previous exhibits at Christie’s New York location and they are always quite amazing. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation. I highly doubt photography will be allowed but you can purchase the catalog which will show all the items available in their glory. I normally pass on the catalogs but I think this one is one I probably will want to own.
