Happy Thanksgiving to All !

A very Happy Thanksgiving to everyone celebrating today and hope you have a wonderful day with family, friends and good food

The first recorded Thanksgiving ceremony took place on Sept. 8, 1565 when 600 Spanish settlers landed at what is now St. Augustine, Florida

The Thanksgiving holiday weekend is the busiest travel period of the year. As it is a federal holiday, all U.S. Govt. offices are closed and employees are paid for that day. It is also a holiday for the New York Stock Exchange, and also for most other financial markets and financial services companies.
from Ben+Sam via flickr..the famous Macy's Tom Turkey....The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is the most well-known of all Turkey Day parades, but Philadelphia claims to have the oldest parade, which debuted in 1920. I will be watching from tv not live today but still lovely just the same. Macy's does such a great job with this classic Thanksgiving morning activity for families everywhere.
