To Keurig or not to Keurig

Keurig B70 Gourmet Single-Cup Home Brewing SystemKeurig B70 Gourmet Single-Cup Home Brewing SystemI would say probably the most exciting gift this year wasn't even a Christmas gift. My mom finally got her Keurig for her birthday which was Dec 19th. I have been very resistant to purchasing one of these; I actually felt bad getting rid of our regular coffeepot that apprears on Two & a Half Men (they have the same brand/exact type) How about Charlie Sheen's Christmas? We better not go there. Okay back to coffee, so I end up getting the top choice at a really good price which makes 3 different size coffee cups. From the moment we set it up it was pretty simple, it has been a hit. If you have parties, it is nice for your guests to choose what kind of drink they would like as not everyone likes the same thing. I would definately say do the deed if you are considering purchasing one. We also got the separate filter so you can use your own coffee as I love gourmet coffees and it's nice to be able to use what we have. It also can save you some money if you don't want to buy the pods all the time. It is amazing how fast it brews a cup of coffee/tea and it really tastes great. Seems the people I work worth got them for gifts as well as I noticed a co-worker with the water tank going to fill it today....I was like " a keurig" ...I think I may look into that in the future for my desk....what every desk needs!!!

When I am not gushing over the Keurig, I am trying to figure what day to go to the city for January. The main thing this time of year is weather, we don't want a blizzard coming to town! It does look pretty in the city but not for travel.....I also like to go on Wednesdays as they tend to be less crazy than Saturdays. Sundays are nice as well but not all stores open early so you may have to change your plans. I decided last year as a goal to go to the city once a month and do things I have not done before. This year I accomplished the subway system which is really great. Very easy to use and quick plus inexpensive. Can't go wrong in any direction. People are also very willing to help if you get confused, the larger subway stations can be confusing, don't be afraid to ask someone if you are unsure. Guess I am off now to try the cocoa in that little Keurig...such a great stylish machine!!!

Nothing like Christmas in the city !!

"Keurig" means "neat" in Dutch! Sounds like a great birthday present. Especially with this cold weather! I'm sure it's keeping you warm.
